Last weekend ASOS hosted an event to showcase their face and body products and it was so much fun. First of all well done to the team who made some picture perfect art installations. One hallway was lit up like the ‘hotline bling’ video and another space was a ball pit filled with gold balls to fall into. My sister and I took lots of selfies and then made our way to the main floor where all the beauty products were.
Something that truly excites me is that some really cool brands will be joining the ASOS platform. Some really cool brands that I am excited about are:
The Ordinary. Which is a skin care brand by the Deciem group. The Ordinary see themselves as an evolving collection of treatments offering familiar, effective clinical technologies positioned to raise pricing and communication integrity in skincare. They are already stocked by ASOS but the range was quite limited. At the event, we got to play and test out a full range that will be available on the site soon.
I only recently started using The Ordinary and I am in love with there serum foundation (1.0N). The texture is lightweight, pigment-rich and medium coverage. I have two shades as I change foundation shades based on seasons or if I have just come back from travelling. Both are great and also mix and blend well with each other.
They have great face products too I use the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% which is a great day or night face cream. Don’t be thrown by the names or the how scientific the bottles look. The price points are amazing and the products are good.
Another brand I was excited to see in the ‘coming soon’ section was Shea Moisture! SheaMoisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner is super moisturizing and great for thick and curly hair type. The ingredients in their products contain are no parabens, no phthalates, no paraffin, no mineral oil, no DEA, no petroleum or any of the funny stuff. My hair loves the stuff! Their conditioners are the next level of greatness and being able to pop a few bits from the Shea Moisture collection into my basket is the kind of convenience I like. I hope they stock the Shea Moisture body line which is also quite limited to find in the UK.
A product I want to get my hands on is the Luna Mini 2 brush by Foreo. It is the cutest facial cleansing brush with T-sonic pulse unclogs pores and removes dead skin cells. I am always looking a new bit to add to the facial regime and this may be something that I have to splurge on now and my skin will thank me later!
ASOS is also working on something exciting that would bridge the gap between buying makeup online and it’s very cool. Think snapchat filters gone wild, A.R tech is moving leaps and bounds. What I liked is that it matched my skin to new brands that I didn’t think catered for my skin tone and also made me look outside of old favourites.
Do you buy any beauty bits online? If so what is your go-to stop shop online for your beauty buys?
